I am the Lord of Thebes, and I
\nThe inspired forth-speaker of Mentu;
\nFor me unveils the veiled sky,
\nThe self-slain Ankh-f-n-Khonsu
\nWhose words are truth. I invoke, I greet
\nThy presence, o Ra-Hoor-Khuit!<\/p>\n

Unity uttermost showed!
\nI adore the might of Thy breath,
\nSupreme and terrible God,
\nWho makest the gods and death
\nTo tremble before Thee: \u2014
\nI, I adore thee!<\/p>\n

Appear on the throne of Ra!
\nOpen the ways of the Khu!
\nLighten the ways of the Ka!
\nThe ways of the Khabs run through
\nTo stir me or still me!
\nAum! let it kill me!<\/p>\n

The Light is mine; its rays consume
\nMe: I have made a secret door
\nInto the House of Ra and Tum,
\nOf Khephra, and of Ahathoor.
\nI am thy Theban, o Mentu,
\nThe prophet Ankh-f-n-Khonsu!<\/p>\n

By Bes-na-Maut my breast I beat:
\nBy wise Ta-nech I weave my spell.
\nShow thy star-splendour, O Nuit!
\nBid me within thine House to dwell,
\nO winged snake of light, Hadith!
\nAbide with me, Ra-Hoor-Khuit!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nHath parted from the darkling crowds,
\nHath joined the dwellers of the light,
\nOpening Duant, the star-abodes,
\nTheir keys receiving.
\nThe dead man Ankh-f-n-Khonsu
\nHath made his passage into night,
\nHis pleasure on the earth to do
